Mullets and Cheetah Print
Turned down blue eyes catch me in the corner of the room "Follow me into disaster" they say Out of the dimly lit basement and up to the top of the hill Where we isolate amongst 2 hearts, the highlife, and unkempt mattresses Sloppy teenage recklessness consumes our motives But Oh! Isn't it so beautiful? So sincere are our 3am kisses through till dawn But... as quickly as we go up we must come down Those same turned down blue eyes can't even look at me now The lack of choice was made to leave me collapsed on the treebelt That night 2 hearts spiraled away from one another Leaving a scar carved in the place where those glimmers used to live Time will inevitably heal us The scars, becoming warm reminders of our magnetic ways A snapshot of a life that could never be Yet will always live on Written by Samantha Gendreau
